Song For You: A Queer Romance Novella

One wedding meet-cute. Two inspired artists. Sparks are about to fly…

Brodie Bailey is best known as the lead singer and occasional writer for the popular indie band Quixotic but right now, Brodie doesn’t want to be known at all. While they’ve been living in Toronto for the past two years and trying to figure out some stuff, they’ve been struggling to feel the creative spark they rely on for their work.

But when they meet a painter at their close friends’ wedding, they start to realize that maybe that spark isn’t gone forever.

Taylor Evans is a painter specializing in wedding portraits and while she loves that part of her work, she’s ready to try something new. Enter the gorgeous musician she meets at a client’s wedding who generously agrees to let her paint them.

As Brodie and Taylor get closer, they start to realize that their feelings might just be growing into something more than just professional courtesy for a fellow artist. Song For You is a cozy queer romantic novella featuring a non-binary singer and a painter. While it is a standalone story, it features cameos and characters from Rochelle Wolf’s previous novellas, Act Two and Room for Two.

Perfect for fans of:

“This was absolutely adorable. I loved that even for a novella the romance wasn’t too rushed it formed in a way that felt natural. While also showing that sometimes you can realize your feelings for someone a lot quicker than you’d expect. Overall it was short, but very sweet with a hint of spice. I also enjoyed that it had a good amount of theatre and Art background and little hints of broadway references. I think it was a very sweet and enjoyable read that I would definitely recommend.”

“This is a fast paced novella about finding love where you least expect it. Told from one POV, we are taken along a journey of self discovery and finding the one person who truly helps bring you out of your shell and accepts every part of you. The cute dynamic duo of an artist and singer/song writer inspire each other to build their best, authentic selves. Reading as Brodie gains the confidence they crave through their bandmates and Taylor is heartwarming and highlights the importance of having a chosen family.”

“Looking for a short lgbt romance that’s heartwarming? Look no further! A meet cute and a little bit of a coming out story to warm the heart. Solid 5 stars for me. It’s hard to say too much about a short story without giving everything away!”
